The Work at Play
Can you take a joke? Then you’ll love Party Roast: the new fun-in-the-blank group game that’s about to be the life—and laugh—of every party. We took this playfully savage game concept and brought it to life in the form of a Brand Identity, tagline, web copy, and packaging content. We needed to dial in on a Brand Voice that would be memorable and entertaining while highlighting true to the spirit of the game (for friends who show love by teasing—AKA a roast) and lowering the intimidation factor for players who don’t think they’re funny. To combat that first objection, we made sure the tagline addressed this in a humorous way (Not mean, just spirited), and to help assuage the audience’s fears of not being funny enough to play, we ensure that the game prompts had setups that almost guaranteed a punchline.
The result is so much sticky language that even the e-newsletter is funny (All Roast, No Beef). Inside jokes sold separately.
